Okayo WaveTalk operates at a maximum power of 10mW in the 863-865 MHz range and 20mW in the 823-832 MHz range.
863–865 MHz (channel 70, typically max 10 mW ERP)
This frequency is practically unlicensed in all EU countries (EU/CEPT harmonization, decision 2006/771/EC and related). It is a low-power ISM/SRD band available without permission throughout the European Union, with power and technical limitations (EN 300 422, etc.). This applies to, among others:
- Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Hungary, Italy.
823–832 MHz (channel 65, typically up to 100 mW e.i.r.p., divided into sub-bands)
This band is more widely available without a license in most EU countries, but is not 100% harmonized (ECC/DEC or REC 25-10 harmonization, with national implementations). In many countries, it is exempt from individual authorization (general authorization/license-exempt), though sometimes with power limitations (e.g., 20 mW for handheld in 823–826 MHz, higher for bodypack) or registration requirements in certain cases.

Recommendation
